Man, the bass

The whole concept is funny, the Mario!!! sample are cool and your song is ok.
But damn, the bass, too loud man, too much distorsion, It's just unlistenable and ears-bleeding.

IceMasterDlux responds:

Ha, I'm glad you found it funny. I'm also really glad you said that about the bass. I like to hear what you have to say. I'm still experimenting with trying to get a powerful bass and cut down on distortion, but as you can see, I still need work. Thanks a lot for your review, and perhaps I will try to fix the distortion and re upload it. Thanks again, and God bless!

I don't dig it.

Is there any copyright issue here?
I mean, you used many samples from some Akira Yamaoka's song, am I right?
When I used to take just even a tiny sample from a song,
everybody on NG is jumping on me like I'm a fucking plagiarist.

Anyway, to the review now:

Yeah the drums are cool, they suits perfectly the song.
That's what drums are made for.

I heard a flaw at 1:08 and 1:22, the drums fade in is too brutal.
At 00:40 and 00:52, the wah wah effect are cool as well, I often use those effect during some of my songs.

At 2:00, I disagree with the synth's sound used, it has nothing to do with the ambiance of the song BUT I can dig that it's a "Hip Hop" wannabe song.
And to my ears, this synth's tune makes me thinks about Yeah from Usher.

So just adding some drums and wah wah effects to a song from another artist makes me uncomfortable.
Sorry pal, I hope you find my review pertinent.

haywirehaywire responds:

Thanks for the review first of all, i expected that you wouldnt take as many points off as you did take off but whatever. The drum fade in at 1:08 really does not seem brutal to me man, idk what your talking about, and i agree with you on the synths at 2:00. Its not so much that i just added drums and wah wah effects, i wanted to change the whole mood of it to a rap song for people to spit over, and i also wanted to combine my two favorite songs by Akira Yamaoka into one, cause thats another thing that samplers do to make theyre work more original. Also, no copyright issues here, all samples are credited to Akira Yamaoka.

You can do it !

Well, I'm sure that you'll get a good clubing summer song with that, reduce the lenght, get quicker into the melody, I mean make a shorter "radio" version alike, put some vocals and here we go, dancing on night on the beach.

KieranNG responds:

Thanks man, I was going for a summer song.
I'll probably make a remix too.

Oh dude, this one is sw-eeet.
I can already imagine some crowd around a concert scene, some big fucking amplifier crying out loud this song at full bass level.
It reminds me of some Joachim Garraud and Daft Punk earlier work.

KieranNG responds:

Yeah, it kinda reminds me of Daftendirekt.
I like this one.

Well, nothing to do with the other Mo!

Ahah, I prefer this one to the other Mo!, way much heavier and melodic!
Like others ppl said, the drums are forgotten, the guitar solo are really loud compared to the rythm guitar.
I can hear some accoustic guitar/synth around 1:00 and it may get interesting to get more part like that in a full lenght song, you know, like those death/black metal band.
But it's ok, you said that's some old song, so I think you know what you're doing your new songs ;)

ChioBam responds:

The issue with me is, when I get around to the end, I get lazy and begin to rush the process, so I didn't do so great with leveling out the sounds, which is why I made the revised version of this song. I'm going to have to be working on this guy for a while :P, thank you for your feedback!

Nice x)

I didn't listen the first Mo! yet, but so far these little guitar riff sounds good, I will not mention the drums, I don't like making drums part so I know your pain ;)
I'm sure that with better drums and some heavy metal vocal, you'll get some nice song with it.

ChioBam responds:

Yeah, it's such a damn process making the drum tracks! I'm no vocalist myself, so don't expect any vocals on this one anytime soon :P
Thanks for the feedback, appreciated (:

Great job bro!

I've been waiting for finding some interesting cover, and MSI is one of my fav band.
The guitar is cool, the electronic too, the only thing that bugs me are the drums, way too crunchy to my ears, maybe you should reduce its volume a little bit.
I really like your cover, even if you didn't made the last "break" guitar part :)

ChioBam responds:

If you're talking about the outro, I didn't do that simply because the electronic sounds at the end weren't possible for me at the time, with all of the bending and whatnot, I'm very new to FL Studios, so sorry about that :P. I'm glad you liked it, thank you for your feedback! (:

Closet in my monster?

Well, if fails terribly to scare me, and at a certain point of the song, I laugh my ass off...
I'm sorry dude, it's too much electronic and too high, maybe if adjusting the tone and adding some reverb to the samples, it'll sound better.

superuberinsaneausm responds:

(slaps self in the head)
lol i completley frogot to add reverb!!!

Funky indeed

Nice loop dude, keep going.

Kalapsia responds:

thanks

Wut?

Nice job dude, my ears are bleeding piss and the bells are resonating in my head.
It's a shame that the drums are overmixed like that, maybe if they were more audible it will fit the song better.
